Alexis emphasizes learning classical techniques and basic music theory to build and strengthen your voice and then will work with you on whatever type of music you are interested in - whether it be opera, country, pop, jazz etc. As a teacher, she feels it is important to find out what kind of music you like to play, while at the same time teaching you practical exercises that will help you understand music and how it is written. She loves to play music and sing with her daughter. In fact, it was having a child that inspired her to teach other children.
