Songwriting

Since Erica was a small child she had a keen ability to play the piano and write poetry. She also developed a love for rock, early 90's alternative rock, folk, pop, and rhythm and blues.

She has been playing guitar, singing and writing songs for the last 12 years. Erica was able to hone her songwriting skills at various singer/songwriter and open mic events in San Antonio, Houston, and Austin.

Performing professionally in an eclectic rock band for 4 years, she had formal voice training at Our Lady of the Lake University, while pursuing her B.A. in English Literature. Recording and writing music has been her expertise for the last 7 years.

In the last year, Erica has recorded, written and produced a 7 song E.P., and is currently working on another album this summer with her band, Ledaswan, which she will help produce.

She has written, performed, and recorded everything from rock to folk. She was the music coordinator for Ladyfest San Antonio Texas in 2006, which is a prestigious festival that takes place all over the world and highlights women in Art, Music, and Film.

Her first performance with her current band Ledaswan took place when she was invited to perform at Ladyfest 2004 at Emo's in Austin Texas. Erica has opened for Veruca Salt, Susan Gibson, the Strays, and Ambullette.
