Johnny Dunlap II

Johnny emphasizes learning effective techniques and basic music theory to build and strengthen your trumpet playing. Students will be taught proper breathing techniques, correct embouchure and posture, how the trumpet is held, along with exercises that will increase range and lip flexibility. An emphasis will be placed on scales, tone, endurance, range and overall confidence.
As a teacher, he feels it is important to learn basic fundamentals particular to the trumpet in order to play any music you have an interest in, while at the same time teaching you practical exercises that will help you understand music and how it is written.
